Position Title: Pastor of Worship and Discipleship

Ministry Purpose: 

Faithful Bible Church’s Pastor of Worship and Discipleship will help lead Faithful Bible Church in Christ-centered worship and look to help equip the church in its mission to proclaim Christ’s glory to the nations.

About Faithful Bible Church: 

Faithful Bible Church is a Gospel-Centered Church dedicated to Proclaim Christ’s Glory to the Nations. We are an eight-year-old church plant located in beautiful Pinehurst, NC. We are a church that is growing in our desire to become multi-cultural to meet the growing diverse community that our church currently resides in. Hours Per Week:  40+

Pay:  Competitive Salary Based Off Experience 

Character-

• A follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates a lifestyle that is consistent in word and practice with the Christian faith 
• Meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Affirms and supports Faithful Bible Church’s doctrinal statement and values
• Must have a humble, gentle and teachable spirit and a heart for serving the local church

Skills and Ministry Abilities-

• Must have completed or be in the process of completing a bible college/seminary degree
• Experience in building and leading teams within the local church
• Strong theological grounding and musical proficiency 
• Mastery of guitar and/or piano
• Must possess a strong work ethic and be self-motivated. (Faithful Bible Church does not have a church building so much of the pastor’s work will be done from home) 

Ministry Job Responsibilities:

Worship

• Plan, develop and implement weekly Gospel-centered worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor 
• Usher Faithful Bible Church into Christ-Centered worship by planning, developing, implementing, and directing weekly worship services that minister to people from a variety of different ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Recruit, train, and schedule worship team members as you provide musical and spiritual leadership for the worship team
• Help plan and coordinate special worship services and holidays (i.e. Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.)

Ministry Teams

• Help Schedule Volunteers to fulfil Sunday Morning Ministry responsibilities 
• Help provide oversight to the discipleship ministries of the church
• Help connect visitors, members and regular attenders to opportunities of service and growth

Community Groups

• Identify, develop, and oversee community group leaders through regular communication, training, prayer and encouragement 
• Identify and/or develop community group curriculum to be used within the church’s community groups on a weekly basis
• Identify and recruit host homes

Pastoral

• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Attend all Faithful Bible Church worship services and events
• Possibility for preaching/teaching opportunities based on gifting of candidate
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor
