Job Description

We are a small, family oriented dental practice looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist. We are a very flexible and fun team. We are looking for someone full-time or part-time to provide honest and quality care for our patients. We can pretty much accommodate any schedule. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8-5.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to best practices in hygiene and infection control. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
• Apply sealants and assist in the application of other preventive measures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Ensure all instruments are sterilized and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.
• Certification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited program and valid state licensure required.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
