Job Description

Senior Helpers has an immediate part-time need for a veteran, male client in Powhatan. Days are Tue, Wed, Fri. 9 AM - 2 PM. Caregiver must know how to use a Hoyer Lift, Clients have Pets, and it's $20/hour. This can turn into full-time work eventually. This client requires a very patient and empathetic caregiver. There is the potential that VA benefits may open up caregiver opportunities during the week also. Responsibilities

• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation and social activities
• Perform household tasks such as meal preparation and tidying up

Qualifications

• Patience, Caring and Compassionate—you enjoy helping others
• Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance a Plus!
