We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Corporate Payroll Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all Business Units and departments. Reporting directly to the Payroll Supervisor, this position plays a key role in executing day-to-day payroll functions, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams. This is a non-managerial role focused on high-quality payroll execution and process support. Preference for candidates located in the Greater Coral Springs or South Florida area; prior remote work experience is a plus.

Position Overview - Process weekly payroll transactions including employee hours, pay adjustments, and deductions across all Business Units.
- Audit timesheets, payroll inputs, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll policies and regulations.
- Communicate with office manager and department managers to collect and clarify weekly payroll data and time entry.
- Assist with payroll balancing, reconciliations, and error resolution.
- Identify and report discrepancies or inefficiencies in payroll data entry, allocation, or processing.
- Utilize the HRIS system for data input, reporting, and workflow improvements related to payroll operations.
- Run and prepare payroll reports for HR and Finance as needed.
- Partner with the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure payroll-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support compliance efforts for federal, state, and local employment laws, including handling unclaimed checks and payroll recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with HR and onboarding teams to ensure new hires are accurately entered and prepared for their first payroll cycle.
- Provide responsive and accurate information to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
- Participate in training efforts for managers and support staff on payroll-related processes and tools.
Requirements - 3+ years of payroll experience required, including processing multi-state payroll
- Associates degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Understanding of payroll best practices and applicable laws and regulations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills.
- Experience with timekeeping in an HRIS system is required. ADP experience, a plus.
- Commercial construction payroll experience is a plus
- Residency in Greater Coral Springs area or South Florida preferred.
