Description Location: UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hosp, US:CO:Highlands Ranch Department: HRH Anatomic Pathology FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Flex Pay: $44.33 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of Pathologist. Responsibilities: + Grosses simple, non-complicated and complex surgical pathology specimens, with possible inclusion of dermatology specimens. + Performs frozen sections, and provides coverage and support as needed. + Aids Attending Pathologist. + Obtains pertinent clinical information and history. Maintains Patient Confidentiality by following Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). + Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant Program. + Pathologists' Assistant Board Certified or exam eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
