Job Description

Join our team as a Data Platform Operations Engineer, where you"ll play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our Azure Data Landing Zone. This position offers the opportunity to ensure our data platform"s stability and compliance, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• Automate the creation and upkeep of data platforms to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide primary support for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining data platform environments.
• Collaborate with data engineers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to security standards in partnership with IS&T Security Management.
• Analyze future capacity needs and develop tools to address potential challenges.

• Strong experience with DevOps and deploying services in Azure public cloud.
• Proficiency in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical documentation skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of LAN and WAN networks.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including on-call rotation participation.

• Experience with relational and No-SQL databases, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Familiarity with Azure CLI and configuring Azure Monitoring.
• Experience working in agile/scrum teams and administering Oracle or Microsoft SQL Databases.
• Azure cloud certifications and experience setting up HIPAA compliant cloud services.
