About the Journeyman Carpenter position

Ten Mile Construction is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter who will organize various operations with wooden structures such as demo, framing, siding, and deck work in strict accordance with specifications. Your duties will include producing steady and functional infrastructure and products.

You should possess great hand dexterity and an eye for detail, being able to work with little supervision and follow all health and safety standards. We also expect you to have good knowledge of remodel and new build practices as well as carpentry materials.

Carpenter responsibilities are:

• Install floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Use blueprints, drawings, and sketches and follow the requirement 
• Review places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Install scaffolding and other construction structures
• Calculate the size and amount of material needed after performing all necessary measurements
• Cut, shape, smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements 
• Create window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials on pre-constructed items

Carpenter requirements are:

• 4+ years of experience of working in a Carpenter position
• Significant experience in working with carpentry materials and using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools(such as saws, nailers, lasers)
• In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proper knowledge on basic math test
• Good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic hand tools
• Drivers license
• Own transportation 
• Some excavator experience a plus

Work Schedule

Here at Ten Mile Construction we work a standard schedule of M-F 8am-4:30pm
