Job Description
We're seeking Civil and Environmental Engineers with an interest in Water Treatment Engineering to support the delivery of cutting-edge projects for both local and global clients.
As a Water Engineer with Jacobs, you will work alongside Project Management and Design Leads in the planning, designing, and commissioning of projects from planning and/or design through construction or finalization. Working within a multi-disciplinary team you will be challenged to grow and learn in your everyday tasks, which, depending on your focus/specialty, could consist of..
* hydraulic modeling
* water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects
* water treatment, collection and distribution projects
* groundwater investigations, drilling, and well installation
* assisting in the preparation of plans and specifications
* performing research, technical writing, development of documentation and studies
* data collection, processing, and analysis to support planning and design activities
* supporting construction activities related to your designs to ensure proper construction
* providing on-site troubleshooting based on field conditions to including construction observation, startup and testing, and project closeout activities
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Courses, projects or internship experience indicating an interest in Water/Wastewater, Water Quality, Water Treatment or Water Resources
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous intern experience with a consulting or engineering firm
* Relevant coursework or projects
* EIT or on track to obtain
* Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
