Job Description

North Budtender Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers and patients with compassion and professionalism
  • Provide exceptional customer service with every transaction
  • Listen with the intent to understand and to make appropriate product recommendations for each customer’s or patient’s needs or ailments
  • Check customer’s or patient’s allotment
  • Accurately enter customer or patient information into our database
  • Process customer or patient orders and payments utilizing our POS software
  • Ensure workstation area is clean and presentable
  • Stock, clean, and organize dispensary
  • Assist management with inventory counts as necessary
  • Prep and package products for sales floor
  • Follow all policies and procedures set by North Medical and Missouri Department of Health Services
  • Contribute to the team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development as needed

Work Environment :

This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and around substances that are strongly controlled and secured.

Budtender:

The Budtender is primarily responsible for aiding customers and patients while in the dispensary through superior service and knowledge of the North products.

Position type/Hours of work:

This position will work day, evenings, and weekends when needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Product knowledge – must be familiar with the variety of methods used for cannabis consumption
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues and inquiries
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Cash handling experience and excellent mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and point-of-sale software
  • Open availability – weekends, evenings, and holidays are required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Valid Identification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Previous retail, sales, and/or customer service experience; cannabis sales experience preferred
