Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Accountant 2 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Irving, TX or Falls Church, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Accounting. Excel knowledge is required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Supports the month end, quarter, and year end accounting close requirements o Prepares journal entries o Prepares and validates month end financial statements and disclosures o Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. o Analyzes monthly trial balances o Performs account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items for owned accounts o Performs intercompany accounting to include Focus Country and PME Billings o Assist General Accounting and International Accounting team members as needed with a variety of accounting tasks Additional responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:
o Work effectively with geographically dispersed team and customer. o Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. o Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. o Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. o Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. o Represents organization as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 5/40 workweek. 1st shift. 8 AM - 5 PM. Hybrid position- Tuesdays and Thursdays in office. HYB
